Hance Alligood, former frontman of Woe, Is Me, just announced that he will be heading to Florida next week to write and record demos for a new project. Check out a statement from him after the jump.
Alligood is not the only one who has moved on – earlier last week, former bandmate and Woe, Is Me bassist Bryan Medley began recording vocals for new music with his current band, Heartfelt.
At the beginning of next week I will be traveling to an undisclosed location in Florida to head into the studio, and write and record a few new demos with a good friend of mine.
This new music will not sound like Woe, Is Me. As I’ve stated before, I’m not interested in or passionate about making heavy music at this point in my life.. I need something new. Something fresh.
All I can say is that it will be more pop/rock influenced. I won’t say pop punk for sure but the elements of pop punk and a few other things mixed with that will definitely be there.
After the demos are done, I’ll be assembling my new team. Can’t say how long this process will take but I have a feeling the ball will be rolling at a good speed. I don’t wanna sit and wait for too long.
Anyway, I’ll probably be updating you guys with pictures and videos of the recording experience and everything that happens following that up.
I hope you guys are excited as I am.
Here’s to a clean slate.
