When I was writing Coco, singing it with my guitar for the first time, I was convinced songs can make people change their minds or even love someone. In a way, I still am now.
Rehearsing the song with Michael, Johnny and Paul later on, I was happy as it was slowly growing and working like a tidal wave. When the producer Guy Fixsen came over and we recorded it together during our first recording session, I arrived home only to find my girlfriend broke up with me.
In fact, the t-shirt I wear in the music video is not a fake. I took a black marker and customized it myself after the break-up.
