Bicycle Music Company, the independent publishing and rightsholding firm based in Beverly Hills, CA, has acquired Dexter Holland (of the Offspring)’s label Nitro Records, famous for many of its alt rock bands that rose to prominence in the mid- to late-nineties. Nitro Records’ lineup includes, AFI, Lost City Angels, One Hit Wonder, the Offspring, and several others. Full press release announcement after the jump.
Dexter Holland’s Nitro Records has been acquired by The Bicycle Music Company. The label, founded by Dexter in 1994 is home to original recordings by The Offspring, The Vandals, The Damned, TSOL, AFI, The Aquabats, A Wilhelm Scream, and Exene Cervenka and the Original Sinners among many others.
“Starting and running Nitro Records has been an amazing experience. I have made some of the best friends of my life at this label and I’ve had the privilege to put out records by my favorite bands. It’s a music catalog that I’m insanely proud of! I know Bicycle will carry on Nitro’s legacy and ensure its recordings are well taken care of and available to fans for years to come.” said Dexter.
